#2: "Neville"

The party reassembled back at the Wild Unicorn, where “The Fixer” told them about a manor house up in “The Highlands” – several days march into the wilderness.
12-19 May 1125
The party spent these days buying supplies and preparing for an extended (2 weeks or more) overland expedition.
20-22 May 1125
Traveled from Hookridge to Marsvan.
23-26 May 1125
Spent four days in Marsvan, where Garril checked in with the Rangers.
27-31 May 1125
Traveled into the Highlands following the route “The Fixer” gave them. Arrived at the Faramond manor house, but found it to be a burned-out ruin.
1-4 June 1125
Returned toward Marsvan, following the same route they took up.
5 June 1125 – (New Moon)
On the night before reaching Marsvan, the party made camp on a dark and unseasonably hot night. There, they met a wandering fighter named "Neville". After a brief (and unusual) conversation1), Neville jumped up and ran off to join an “invisible” fight occurring nearby.
Before the party could react and/or join the fight themselves, a group of Dretch Demons swarmed into the camp. The party managed to destroy all but one of the demons – the survivor shape-shifted into a winged demon who promptly turned invisible and flew away.
When Neville returned to the camp, he declared enthusiastically that he “knows what to do now” and promptly left. A brief attempt was made to follow him, but it seemed as though he vanished into thin air.
6 June 1125
Returned to Marsvan.
7 June 1125
Stayed in Marsvan, where Garril made a routine report to the Rangers. Others made some attempt to determine who “Neville” is, but made no progress.
8-10 June 1125
Traveled from Marsvan to Hookridge.
