Still following Roderick's Find The Path spell to Einerk's tomb, the party plows through a dozen Ogres and a dozen more that are undead. They descend down another flooded spiral staircase and find an ancient temple. Outside, they fight a Kyton (Chain Devil). Inside, they fight Howlers and Spectres and trigger a nasty blade trap.

They sprint through the temple, following the path of Roderick's spell, until they find themselves in a hidden cavern with a chasm spewing flame. Beyond is a lich performing some kind of major ritual, and guarding him is a Bone Devil. Bigby manages to charm the Bone Devil, and the most of the rest of the party leaps the chasm to beat up on the lich.

After a ferocious battle, the lich is slain. But the pyre remains…
