+Before the wars, Resh was a highly isolated kingdom ruled by a theocracy that worshipped

+When [[Backbone]] fell to the Orc armies in 1098, hundreds of thousands of people were
+displaced.  While most took ships to The King's Island and beyond, many could not afford
+this travel and so fled to Resh on foot.  A combination of the great marshland (where
