The ultimate bad guy. Now very dead.

He was born in the first age, approximately four thousand years ago and has resurfaced to cause the downfall of civilization at least three times. Some scholars suggest that he is a minion of the gods and is sent back to disrupt the world when the mortals have gotten out of hand. This theory, though, is not widely accepted and doesn't seem to fit with the historical record well. The Mage's birth name was Nakam Alkat and his origins are mostly unknown. Legend has it that he was the only mortal to touch the great heaven spire and live.

• 27 Apr 2626 – Nakam Alkat is admitted into the gûlaraî order
• 24 May 2631 – Nakam Alkat is banished from the gûlaraî
• 22 Feb 2632 – Nakam Alkat makes a pact with Hades
• 05 Jun 2639 – Nakam Alkat killed
• 05 Nov 2850 – Dark Mage is “born”
• 12 Oct 2902 – Dark Mage is burned by the heaven spire

• 28 Jan 0112 – Dark Mage is revived when the heaven spire is repaired
• 07 Nov 0140 – Dark Mage is killed by Kwalish and Lord Ozzie
• 13 Dec 1719 – Demonwraiths find scepter and revive Dark Mage
• 15 Apr 1769 – Aurén Ilay born
• 24 Jul 1775 – Dark Mage and demonwraiths begins attacks
• 08 May 1855 – Corellon's gem stolen
• 12 Apr 1856 – Corellon tries to regain gem; Gruumsh places curse
• 11 Oct 1868 – Gruumsh gives gem to one-eye
• 02 Sep 1888 – The Ring of the Dragon completed
• 29 Mar 1898 – Dark Mage makes pact with one-eye
• 25 Oct 1916 – The Clasp of Erland completed
• 12 Mar 1919 – Qôc Ranaî inherits title of one-eye (and gem)
• 06 Feb 1929 – The Robe of Shadworth completed
