Down south, a group of adventurers are gathered together to escort the enigmatic Mirabelle, a young half-elf who desires to travel into the wilderness in search of her destiny.

Setting out from the city of Roundtree, the party travels along the road for a week to arrive at Shalrock, the hobbit “city”. Once there, Eirik makes arrangements with a friendly hobbit to leave his excess gear behind so that they may travel lighter.

In the wild lands, the party encounters a trio of animate fungi that drain their bodily strengths, then a Shambling Mound, and three dire badgers.

Clearly, this escort duty has come with unexpected risks!
