(Previous Session) (Back to Voyager Index) (Next Session)

Five of the six players in attendance:

Dave Aramil Ranger/7
Jim Roget Fighter/7
Kurt Dhersion Bard/7
Val Kesi Monk/6

After bringing the king back to life, the priestess Ogin uses her new clout to convince him to join her in a secret meeting to negotiate peace between Sibutco and Hky-you-hay. What she neglects to mention is that she has invited the heads of all the other kingdoms as well. She asks Dhersion and the rest of the party to help convince these leaders that the recently brewing war has more to do with the Slaad than it does with the politics between the kings.

On May 17th, the party joins Ogin on a boat heading downriver. With Odin's blessing, the Tupi guards running the blockade allow them to sail through unhindered. As they are leaving Paco, word arrives that general Elsu, the main threat to stability in Hky-you-hay has returned to the city.

Once in the city of Salerhanul, the party finds itself with time to kill. The various heads of state will not arrive for a week, so everybody starts doing their own thing. Roderick spends most of his time proselytizing and healing the sick. Dhersion sets up his one-man show at a local pub.

On the 22nd, after only five days, King Odin arrives in Salerhanul. Despite the fact that (the very old and feeble) King Anu from Nita has not arrived, the meeting proceeds. The leaders from seven of the eight kingdoms are present: Odin from Hky-you-hay, Zeus from Chayton, Osiris from Harkahome, Thor from Shima, Ra from Cheveyo, Dagda from Abedabun, and, of course, Apollo from Sibutco.

The first order of business is to assuage the feelings of betrayal that Odin feels for being ambushed in this way. Dhersion, acting as the only “neutral” speaker, is able to convince Odin to stay. Once that decision is made, much progress occurs. Some of the party members are brought in to discuss their enconters with the Slaad, but it is Dhersion's diplomacy and oratory skills that carry the day. In the end, it is clear that a war has been averted!

XP awarded: 1,000, Running Total: 22,000. (19,000 for Kesi and Bigby)
