After the battle with the Rain King and his monsters, the party sets up camp and tends to their wounds. They examine the equipment gathered from the Rain King's body and discover that he carried a magic short sword and dagger, a masterwork quarterstaff, a silver holy symbol to the goddess Matchitisiw, and a suit of masterwork chainmail. This is in addition to the ring Roget had already taken.

Aramil takes the short sword, handing his lesser magic short sword to Vincent. Kesi claims the dagger, Roderick the quarterstaff, and Roget the armor (even though the suit fits him well, he decides not to wear it).

The next morning, April 16, 1108, the group packs up camp and returns to their journey. Roget, with little fanfare, dons the Rain King's ring.

Late in the day on April 18, Aramil spots something in the nearby woods.

Trolls! Much fighting occurs. More details to come…

April 19) Vincent and Aramil scout out the Troll's lair and find a blue Slaad head on a stick.
