Immmenri Campaign Game Rules

Back to the main campaign page

This campaign uses the Dungeons & Dragons Fifth Edition Rules (2024 version). Only information from the three core rule books is allowed, unless the DM grants a specific exception.

Classes

  • Barbarian – Either a fighting style or part of a group/tribe. If the latter, consider being from an indigenous tribe.
  • Bard – Either self-taught or part of a group. If the latter, you are likely a colonist.
  • Cleric – Ideally, pick a single god. See the page about religion.
  • Druid – Colonist: Maybe affiliated with the “organized” Druids. Indigenous: More likely to be a “lone wolf”.
  • Fighter – Can be either self-taught or from an organization. The Sefni Army is a good choice.
  • Monk – Likely from a group. Probably a colonist.
  • Paladin – See Cleric
  • Ranger – See Druid
  • Rogue – Organized crime is not a big thing here (but it's starting to become something)
  • Sorcerer – No training needed, so you are probably self-taught.
  • Warlock – Work with me to see who your pact is with.
  • Wizard – Likely a colonist who studied back in “civilization”.

Species comments

  • Aasimar – You are essentially a Human, and only an expert can tell the difference.
  • Dragonborn – You are an outsider who has travelled a long distance to be here. Your home region is far to the south of the main continent, so this climate is much colder than you are accustomed to.
  • Dwarf – While there are Dwarves on this continent, they live far to the east, so you are likely to be a colonist.
  • Elf – If you are indigenous, you are “Grugach” (a “Wild” Elf). For game purposes, this is the same as a Wood Elf.
    • Also, as I am still a little old school, Drow are impractical as a PC race. The original description (from Gary Gygax's Module G3) says, “they dislike bright light. They will not venture forth into daylight except on the cloudiest, gloomiest days.”
  • Gnome – You are a colonist. There are no known Gnomes on this continent.
  • Goliath – You are indigenous. You are also essentially a tall Human, and only an expert can tell the difference.
  • Halfling – You are a colonist. There are no known Halflings on this continent.
  • Human – Anything is possible.
  • Orc – You are probably indigenous, but more and more Orcs from the Main Continent are traveling the portals these days.
  • Tiefling – You are essentially a Human, and only an expert can tell the difference. No horns!

Ability Scores

Please use the Standard Array.

Alignment

This is not terribly important, but selecting “Evil” will make your DM unhappy.
