This town was abandoned during the wars and was resettled starting in the year 1131. It serves as a military garrison for King Vyncent's troops in the North, so many of the shops and pubs cater to those soldiers.

At any given time, there are normally around 400 soldiers posted here. They rotate in and out of service along with an additional 600 that are stationed in the city of Nargundush.

Bastow is governed by a noble aristocrat, the human lord Gunnfri.

• The Bloody Shield: A large commoner's tavern, built atop an outcrop of hewn and rune-carved stone.
• Willey's Pottery: The workshop of a male human potter named Marteph Willey, who was once a great wizard, but stumbled into a fortune and retired.
