+The party opts to take a short rest in the Gnoll Lair (Cave J) before continuing on to the Shrine of Evil Chaos (Cave K).
+There, they find an Ogre Zombie (with a familial resemblance to Oggdug in Cave E) guarding the entrance.
+Despite its size and strength, the party is able to destroy it and continue on to an Altar Room, where the
+chaos bell is hanging.  An armored cultist named Narthus rings the bell to animate four piles of bones.
+Soon, four zombies wander in from an adjoining room.  After a protracted fight, the party destroys the
+undead, kills Narthus, then overwhelms the cult leader, Ivlis in the next room.
+With Ivlis captive, Dravindi wraps the chaos bell in a blanket and the party takes both to the Sacred
+Spring (see [[immenri_07|session #7]]).  When the bell is submerged in the spring, the strange magical aura
+that infused the valley dissipates.  However, when Ivlis is likewise submerged, her body melts into a new form:
+A Doppelganger!  Since the spring also brought her back to consciousness, the party quickly binds her arms
+and legs and blindfolds her to ensure she won't try using her magic.
+After a brief stop to discuss the situation with the hermit, Xanthe, the party returns to the Keep
+and delivers their prisoner to the Castellan.
+Ivlis is tossed into a cell and the party are hailed as heroes - though they know the job isn't quite done!
