His life of adventuring started when he wandered off into the wilderness in a drunken huff after his parents didn't give in to his latest demands. He was in the wilderness for several days, not wanting to go back home and admit his defeat. Lost and hungry, he encountered a lion (not native to that area), trapped in a pit.
