After returning to the Keep, the party enlists the services of the banker to hold on to the suit of magical Plate Armor they found in the Nothic's Cave. Then they go to the Smithy to discuss the maker's mark from the suit. She explains that it was made by an armorer in the city of Edric.

Spend another night in Cornflower's Hayloft.

Back to the caves…

The party enters Cave H. Tuotatm sneaks in (using his newly-acquired Boots of Elvenkind) and discovers a pair of Bugbears studying a crude map and arguing. He returns to the party, and the group decides to go in a different direction.

They find a pair of Goblins standing on guard at a stairwell near a crude rolling log trap. Dravindi sends the moose up the stairs to trigger the trap. The goblins oblige, and the moose manages to avoid the rolling log – which crashes harmlessly against the wall across from the end of the stairs. After a short fight, the two Goblins are killed, and the party continues up.

In a room at the top of the stairs, a Bugbear is found berating two Goblins. The party kills the Bugbear, and Dravindi forcibly rescues the Goblins by picking them up and putting them on the moose. The Goblins explain what they know about the cave complex.

The party decides to ignore the other two Bugbears and head instead to Cave I, even though the Goblins are terrified of the monster to be found there.

Inside, the party encounters and kills three Stirges and then finds a great Minotaur of Baphomet, wielding a glowing, evil Abyssal Glaive. Dravindi lights the creature up with a Faerie Fire spell, and the party eventually topples the creature without taking any damage!

Dravindi takes one of the horns of the Minotaur as a trophy.
