=== November, 1119 ===

Upon returning from their expedition to kill some Ogres, Geld Seekingstone, the 
Loremaster, enlists the party to travel through the portal they discovered in 
[[v3session20|"The White Crypt"]].  The previous day, a Dwarven wizard named 
Morgran and a small contingent of soldiers stepped through -- but have not 
returned.

On the other side, the party quickly meets Morgran -- who claims he has only 
been there for about ten minutes.  Despite the fact that time seems to run at a 
different rate in this realm, the party must remain until they find some kind of 
shadow creature they can use to reactivate the portal from this side.

At first, the party thinks the portal has brought them to 
[[cosmos#the_astral_plane|The Shadowfell]], but they observe a number of 
anomalies that eventually led them to conclude they are actually on some chaotic 
plane -- perhaps even Limbo itself.

First, they have to get past a pair of Githzerai and three strange, chaotic 
elementals (creatures the party knows nothing about).  Beyond them, they find a 
Shadar-Kai and three Umbral Panthers.

Using the Shadar-Kai's severed hand, Morgran is able to reactivate the portal 
and get everybody home.  However, upon arrival, they learn that three months has 
elapsed since they left!

In the process, the party finds the following stuff:
  * 1 Level 9((Mistake: Should have been a level 8 item)) Magic Item: ???
  * 1,200 gp
